AN INAUGURAL education conference will be hosted by an academic trust to bring together a number of school leaders.

The Lingfield Education Trust, in Darlington, comprises of Heathfield Primary, Hurworth Primary, Northwood Primary, Corporation Road Primary and Mount Pleasant Primary and will host its first education conference next month.

The event, titled School Leadership in Challenge Times, will host a number of speakers, including teacher, author and educationalist, Hywel Roberts and leadership consultant Robbie Noel OBE.

Executive coach and leadership expert, Anthony Nellis, will also be taking part.

Nick Blackburn, chief executive officer of Lingfield Education Trust, said: “Our Trust aspires to make the biggest difference to children in all of our schools and give them the very best start in life.

"The conference is a chance for leaders in the education sector to come together and discuss crucial matters being faced in the education sector, both now and in the future.

“Colleagues who attend will have the opportunity to reflect, challenge ideas and consider different approaches to some of the issues we face. We have ensured the highest quality speakers, who have had a significant impact on the way we work as a Trust."

The event will also hold a number of workshop sessions for delegates during the afternoon, finishing with a panel discussion, on June 12, in The Northern Echo Arena.
