A TRIO of charities are set to be supported by staff and restaurant goers invited to join a fundraiser with free refreshments.

David Graham, general manager at Nando’s, said: “We’ve held a few coffee mornings in the past and all have proved to be really successful.

"The people of Darlington are really generous with taking the time to support charitable causes.

"It’s wonderful that we can all get together to help these brilliant charities continue their outstanding work, which supports families in our community and beyond.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of shoppers and raising plenty of money for the organisations, which are very close to the Nando’s family’s heart.”

A raffle will also be held for a chance to win a Nando's full platter meal.

Proceeds from the coffee morning will be split between the three charities, which all operate in the North-East.

Ahmad Majidiasl, marketing manager at Feethams, said: “I’m sure there are many people in town who love to indulge every so often and because this is to raise money for some great charities, it’s a guilt-free treat."
