HUNDREDS of over-50s were in Darlington's Market Square for the town's annual tea dance yesterday.
Tea and scones were served to the estimated 600 people who turned attended.
The dance was supported by a number of businesses who provided refreshment, time and equipment.
Members of Growing Old Living in Darlington (Gold) also helped set up the event and the Big Little Band provided the music. Gold community development worker Lesley Compson said: "It's was a really great day. People have been up dancing, there's been something for all ages. The Gold volunteers have been getting it ready, they're all over 50 - many are in their 70s. There's been demos on how to keep fit, although the way people have been dancing, I don't think many need it."
