RESIDENTS will be given the first chance to look at plans for an allotment site next week.
Plans have been approved for 45 allotments on land in Arnold Road, off Hundens Lane, Darlington, replacing allotments in Lascelles Park.
The new scheme will include security fencing, greenhouses, pigeon lofts and poultry sheds.
Neighbours of the proposed allotments have been invited to view an artist's design for part of the site on Monday and discuss the proposals.
Some people have voiced their concerns about the allotments because they will be built on a wildlife area and include felling trees.
They are also concerned about vehicles driving to the site and problems from different livestock on the land.
The plans can be viewed in the function room of Eastbourne Sports Complex, Hundens Lane, from 5pm until 7pm.
