TWO men have denied being part of a conspiracy to break a cash machine out of a wall and steal it from a garage near York.

Robert Harker, 34, of Hundens Lane, Darlington, and Asa Dominic Smith, 22, of Lands End Road Caravan Site, Doncaster, appeared at York Crown Court alongside Ethan Wharton, 37, of Cole Street, The Groves, York.

All three were charged following an incident in the early hours of June 29, 2015, at the garage in Hull Road, Dunnington, when a vehicle was allegedly used to break a wall and steal an ATM cash machine.

Harker and Smith denied conspiring to steal a cash machine from the garage and their trial was listed for October 9. Wharton was not asked to plead.

All three were released on bail until the trial date.
