BURGLARS who forced their way into a house and stole keys to a Volkswagen Golf R before making off with the vehicle are being sought by police.
The white Volkswagen was reported stolen from a property on Yiewsley Drive, Darlington, after an alleged “two-in-one burglary” between 1pm and 1.25pm on Monday, January 23.
The car was seen driving in the direction of Garthorne Avenue before leaving Darlington via Faverdale and the A68.
Darlington CID are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen a black Audi A1 being driven in the Mowden area of Darlington at around 1pm.
Police have also appealed for information leading to the recovery of the Volkswagen.
