A WOMAN police wanted to speak to after a stabbing incident in Darlington has been detained.
Durham Constabulary had asked for help in tracking down a woman following an alleged incident in Salisbury Terrace in Darlington on Tuesday evening.
On Friday lunchtime, a spokesman for Durham Constabulary said: "This morning she was arrested in connection with an incident in Salisbury Terrace, Darlington earlier this week.
"She is now in custody and will be questioned later this afternoon. An attack left a 46-year-old bleeding from serious stab wounds at a property on Salisbury Terrace, in the Denes area of the town on Tuesday evening."
The man was taken to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. He was said to be in a stable condition.
