RESIDENTS are invited to attend a consultation on plans to obtain outline planning permission for land off Station Road, Middleton St George.
Story Homes is proposing to develop approximately 20 acres of a 34 acre site with a mix of residential family homes and landscaped public spaces.
A public consultation event will take place on Tuesday at Middleton St. George Community Centre on Station Road.
The village has been subject to a number of planning applications over the last year, leading to concern being expressed among some residents that the village is fast losing its rural character.
Head of land and planning at Story Homes, Sarah Armstrong, said that the company recognises that consultation is “vitally important” in the planning process.
She said: “This public exhibition is an opportunity for residents from the local area to understand the proposals and come forward with comments to help inform the final plans for the development of this site.”
She added: “We are committed to using local materials and labour where possible to build a community development which would integrate well into Middleton St George.”
The consultation is between 3pm and 7pm and plans will be online at storyhomes.co.uk from noon on July 20.
