RINGMISTRESS Tracy Jones promises to put on a “breathtaking” show as her Circus Funtasia returns to Darlington.

The circus is back in the borough due to popular demand and Ms Jones promises this show is bigger and better than the last.

She said: “A lot of people are coming to the circus saying they didn’t think it would get better than the last time it was here. But it is.

“Our show is so fast-paced and is very polished and professional.

“We’ve got lots of aerialists and acrobats and a lot of talented artists from across the world.”

Ms Jones singled out the Globe of Death, featuring three motorbikes, one model and a small cage, as her favourite act.

She said: “It starts off with the one rider and then the girl goes in.

“Then there’s two riders. And then, just when you’re thinking you can’t fit anything more in there, they bring in a third rider.

“At the end they turn all the lights off and go around with just their bikes lit up.”

She added: “The show is not what anyone expects and people will leave smiling from ear to ear.

“There is something for everybody.”

The Circus Funtasia is showing at Neasham Road, opposite the Northern Echo Arena, until Sunday, April 3.
