THE following people were dealt with at Darlington Magistrates' Court yesterday in connection with littering offences – all addresses are in Darlington:

* John Bennett, 43, of Aldbrough Walk, for dropping a cigarette end. The case was proved in his absence and he was fined £220, with £150 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.

* Sophia Bishop, 36, of Roslyn Street, for leaving black bags in a back lane. The case was proved in her absence and she was fined £60, with £150 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

* Christopher Paul Cleminson, age unknown, of Welbeck Avenue, who left bags of litter in Green Street. The case was proved in his absence and he was fined £220, with £150 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.

* Claire Currie, 40, of Branksome Terrace, admitted an offence of failing to answer questions in relation to littering. She was fined £60, with £100 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

* Danielle Liddle, 36, of Morpeth Avenue, for dropping a cigarette. The case was proved in her absence and she was fined £220, with £150 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.

The following people were dealt with for dumping bin bags in various back lanes:

* Faye Hutton, 56, of Victoria Road. The case was proved in her absence and she was fined £220, with £150 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.

* Tina McCabe, 40, of Eastbourne Road. The case was proved in her absence and she was fined £220, with £150 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.

* Tammy Rushton, 37, of Haughton Road, admitted leaving bin bags in a back lane. She was fined £40, with £150 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

* Kirsty Walsh, 21, of Napier Street. The case was proved in her absence and she was fined £60, with £150 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
