CHOIR members young and old joined forces to perform at an anniversary ball that raised thousands for charity.
The Voices of Darlington joined Stagecoach Theatre Arts Regional Entertainers (STARE) at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Durham to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Educational Centre for Children With Downs Syndrome (ECCDS).
The event raised more than £4,000 for the charity which has bases in Newton Aycliffe and Hexham.
Choir director Claire Willmer said: “We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the wonderful children with Down’s Syndrome and how the charity work their magic.
“Some of our members were so touched they have offered to volunteer there with another member sponsoring the charity for a year.”
The choirs are now hard at work for their next performance on December 16 - a fundraising concert for a Cystic Fibrosis charity at the Forum Music Centre, Darlington.
