CHAINED up multi-coloured bikes have sprung up across Darlington as part of a cycle security initiative.
The scheme, backed by Darlington Police, involves bright, multicoloured bicycles left chained to bicycle rails into the town.
It aims to help reduce the number of bike thefts in the town by making cyclists stop and think about ensuring their bikes are safe and secure.
The bicycles used in the scheme are un-roadworthy and have not cost the force any money.
