COCKERTON EAST: Cockerton East Community Partnership will be reviewing its action plan on Tuesday, at 6.30pm.

It will take place in the upstairs lounge at Cockerton Methodist Church.

Those people living and working in the area are being encouraged to go along and give ideas of projects or events that the partnership could work on.

"You need to let us know. This is your community, you may have suggestions that we can put into the action plan, as you are the people that it affects. We look forward to seeing you there," said Jan. The next meeting of the partnership is on Tuesday, May 22, at 6.30pm, at Cockerton Methodist Church.

A sports leadership award is being run through the Cockerton East Community Partnership.

The course, lasting 30 hours, is being held at Alderman Leach School, and is open to anyone over 16.

Sessions will be weekly, occasionally lasting the whole days.

Applicants may have to pay up to half the cost of a log book, about £20.

The first session is at 6pm, on Wednesday.

Anyone who is interested is asked to call community development worker Emily Munday on 01325-467237.
