ROLL UP, roll up, a brand new circus is in town.

Circus Funtasia has erected its big top in Darlington for the first time, bringing with it a host of entertainers from across the world.

Acrobats from Bulgaria and Russia are among those who will be showcasing their skills when the human travelling circus opens to the public tonight (Wednesday, August 26).

The choreographed show - a mixture of acrobatic, comedy and aerial feats – will be staged twice daily on the field opposite The Northern Echo Arena on Neasham Road until Monday, August 31.

Circus Funtasia’s spokesman, Ben McManahon said: “We’ve got acts from all over the world performing feats not many will have seen.

“We’ve got a Wheel of Death, quick change acts and foot juggling from the back of a motorbike.

“It’s a great mix of live entertainment right on the doorstep of those living in Darlington.

“We have wowed audiences wherever we’ve been and it’s going to be the first time we’ve visited the town.”

The circus will be performed at 5pm and 7.30pm from today until Friday, August 28, 2pm and 5pm on Saturday, August 29 and 2pm on Sunday, August 30.

Tickets start at £10 for children and £12 for adults. For more information or to book, call 07706 168507 or visit circusfuntasia.co.uk.
