ORGANISERS are promising something for all the family at a nostalgia weekend dubbed the Goodwood of the North.

Croft Circuit, near Darlington, will be the venue for the two-day festival on the weekend of August 8 and 9.

A flyover by the legendary Vulcan bomber – weather permitting – will be among the highlights of the event.

Organiser Mike Scorer promised 'something for all the family' at the festival, which is expected to attract thousands of visitors.

Now in its sixth year, the event will feature classic vehicles from the 1930s to the 1970s and will include military vehicle displays and laps of the famous circuit.

Visitors are encouraged to enter into the spirit of the event and don period clothing for their trip to the festival, which promises to be even more poignant this year, the 70th anniversary of VE Day.

Ticket prices start from £10. Children under the age of 15 are admitted free.
