A MAN from Darlington was airlifted to hospital after falling from a Husky sled in Cumbria.
The 47-year-old suffered facial, arm and leg injuries in the incident in the coastal village of Haverigg.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to the scene at 2pm on Friday, and he was treated on site by a doctor and paramedic crew before being flown to Furness General Hospital in Barrow.
He was described as being in a stable condition on arrival, and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
