YOUNGSTERS pulled on their dancing shoes and busted their best moves as they took part in the first ever Comic Relief Danceathon.
More than 200 girls from the Girlguiding Darlington Locomotion Division took part in the event on Sunday (March 8).
Rainbows, Brownies and Guides aged from five to 14 joined girls across the country for three-hour event, raising more than £500 for the charity.
Division commissioner Linda Prettyman said: “I was really proud of all the girls who came to help raise money to help others – and to all the leaders that supported the girls.”
Girlguiding’s Chief Guide, Gill Slocombe, added: “Together girls in guiding are a powerful force for good and I’m very proud our young women are taking such positive action to help Comic Relief improve the lives of young people both in the UK and across the world.”
