A MAN involved in an eight hour long stand-off with police is facing jail after he pleaded guilty to a number of offences.
Richard Anthony Barnes, of The Causeway, Darlington, admitted affray, damaging property and three counts of assault by beating following the late night incident at his home on February 18 which was attended by armed officers.
The 51-year-old appeared at Teesside Crown Court via a video link to Stockton’s Holme House Prison, where he is being held on remand.
He is due to be sentenced on March 27. Judge Tony Briggs remanded Barnes back into custody in the meantime.
