POLICE are urging Darlington residents not to let their properties become easy targets for criminals following another burglary in the town.
A house on Fife Road was burgled after access was gained through an unlocked patio door sometime between midnight on February 24 and 6am the following day.
A number of items were taken, including a small telescope and 1.5m tripod.
PC Stew Walker from Darlington CID said: “As milder weather approaches we want to remind people to do all they can to make sure their property is not seen as an easy target by criminals.
“Do not leave windows and doors open, and make sure that valuables are out of sight.
“We’re also appealing for anyone with information about this burglary, or the stolen items, to come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Stew Walker on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
