VISITORS to a North-East shopping centre were invited to put a bit of bounce in their day and enjoy a new exercise craze.

Boogie bounce extreme started life in America and involves aerobic exercises carried out on specially designed mini-trampolines to an energising soundtrack.

The craze reached Darlington before Christmas with the first boogie bounce classes launching at the BoxFit Gym in Banks Road and instructors took to the Cornmill Shopping Centre to encourage more people to get onboard.

The instructors showed off their skills on three mini-trampolines temporarily installed in the centre and shoppers were invited to learn more about the exercise.

Boogie bouncing is said to be particularly effective at toning legs, bums and stomachs and is suitable for all ages.
