A FEMALE vocal group is will celebrate the festive season with the sounds of the 1940s at their next concert.
In the Mood for Christmas with The Vintage Belles, a seven-strong group from around Darlington, will kick off the Christmas season at The Forum, in Borough Road, Darlington, on Friday, November 28.
The group will sing songs made famous in the heyday of swing, including Christmas favourites such as Frosty the Snowman and Santa Baby. Popular modern songs will also be included in the concert, but given a retro twist.
The Belles performed their first sell-out gig at The Forum earlier this year and said tickets for the latest event are selling quickly.
Andrea Lambell, a member of the group, said: "The Forum is a great venue, we had such fun there in the spring and we’re sure the place will be buzzing with atmosphere for our Christmas special."
Tickets are £8 to include mince pies and festive drinks, available from The Forum on 01325-363135. Doors open at 7.30pm.
