DARLINGTON FC is backing an international campaign to combat homophobia.
The initiative, Football v Homophobia (FvH), aims to unite fans, players, communities, and the football authorities in opposing homophobia and prejudice against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in football.
Dave Mills, Quakers community and fans’ liaison manager, said: “Over the coming weeks the football club will actively support the campaign to combat homophobia, with information and posters on the official website, newsletter and match day programme.
“Darlington FC will encourage its fans and supporters to help us create the game that everyone can be part and proud of by getting involved. Thank you for your support with this initiative.”
FvH is endorsed and supported by The FA, Premier League, Football League, Professional Footballers Association, League Managers Association, and Kick It Out.
