A REPRESENTATIVE from the recently launched Good Friends scheme in Darlington will be speaking at the next meeting of Cockerton East Community Partnership.
Lynn Walton, from Age UK Darlington, will be speaking about the scheme which urges people to look out for elderly or vulnerable neighbours to combat isolation and increase independence in older people.
The event will be held on Tuesday, October 8 at 6.30pm at Tempest Anderson House, Brinkburn Road, Darlington.
LITTER PICK: Youngsters from Darlington School of Mathematics and Science (DSMS) and Cockerton C of E Primary School will be taking part in a litter pick on Thursday, October 10. The event starts at 10am at the primary school. Anyone who would like to take part is asked to contact Councillor Jan Cossins on 01325-241124.
JUNIOR PACT: Youngsters in Darlington are invited to discuss their views on the town at a junior Police and Communities Together (Pact) meeting on Thursday, October 24. The event starts at 6.30pm at Top Deck Youth Club, in Parkgate Chambers, Borough Road, Darlington.
