A SUPPORT group teamed up with Dulux to help young people with learning disabilities revamp their new home.
Dulux Decorator Centres in Darlington donated paint for the 247 Community Support centre on Denmark Street to use in the home of Natasha Nicholson, Ruth Marston and Hayley Roberts who recently moved in together.
The donation was made as part of Dulux Decorator Centres’ Colouring the Community scheme, after the director of 247 Community Support, Lorraine Holliday, contacted the store.
Volunteers, friends and family helped the trio with the painting and Ms Holliday said: “We aim to make the transition into adult life as easy as possible for our members with learning disabilities.
“This is the first time that this group has lived independently and the paint donation has enabled them to transform the property into a home and put their own personal mark on it.”
