EASTER FUN: Arts and crafts sessions will take place at Crown Street and Cockerton libraries in Darlington during the Easter holidays. The sessions at Cockerton Library will be held on Wednesday, April 3 and Wednesday, April 10, both at 1.30pm. Places must be booked in advance for both. GARDEN CLUB: The next meeting of Darlington Amateur Gardening Club will be held on Wednesday, April 3, in Bondgate Methodist Church Hall, Winston Street, Darlington. The event starts at 7.30pm and includes a talk by Tony Milan on ornamental grasses. Entry is £2.50 and includes refreshments.

COFFEE MORNING: Members of 21st Darlington Scout Group will host an Easter coffee morning on Saturday, April 6, between 10am and noon at St Mark’s Church Hall, in North Road, Darlington. The event will include a raffle, tombola, meat draw and cake stall.

DAY OUT: The Darlington Workers’ Educational Association has organised two day trips by private coach. The first is to Nostell Priory, a National Trust property in south Yorkshire on Thursday, May 16, and the other is to Holker Hall, in South Lakeland on Wednesday, June 5.
