PATIENTS with respiratory conditions are being encouraged to take part in a free exercise and rehabilitation.

The pulmonary rehabilitation programmes, run by the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, are  held every: Monday and Thursday 12.30 - 2pm at the University Hospital of Hartlepool; Tuesday 11am - 12.30pm and Friday 12.30pm - 2pm at Peterlee Community Hospital; Monday 2.30pm - 4pm and Wednesday 1pm - 2.30pm at Seaham Leisure Centre and Tuesday and Thursday 2.30pm - 4pm at Fitness Connexion Health Club, Hartlepool.

Physiotherapist Joanne Rowles said: "People with breathing problems often think they can't take part in exercise, but that's not the case. This can really help improve their quality of life. This is a chance for them to take part in supervised exercise and receive education and support.
