A SERVICE paying tribute to current and fallen servicemen has been held.
The Royal British Legion held a remembrance festival in The Empire Theatre, Consett, yesterday.
Community groups including Scouts, Guides and St John Ambulance took part in a parade.
It was held ahead of services nationwide on Sunday to remember those who have served their country. Poppy appeals are raising funds to help injured servicemen and families of those who died.
