NOMINATIONS have opened to find five new governors to hold one North-East NHS Trust’s non-executive directors to account.
The County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) announced the opening of its Council of Governors elections to help shape the future of its remit in the region.
The governors are expected to hold the trust publicly accountable for the services it provides, as well as acting as voicing community concerns.
Hayley Robertson, CDDFT corporate affairs manager, said: “This is a real opportunity to have a say in the way health services across County Durham and Darlington will be delivered in the coming years.
“We’re looking for governors to represent Darlington, Derwentside, Durham City, Sedgefield, and Wear Valley and Teesdale. You must live in the area you represent, be a trust member and over 16.”
Nominations close online on Monday, November 7, with the nomination papers available at uk-engage.org/county-durham-darlington-nhs-foundation-trust-governor-elections/
