THE A66 has re-opened following a collision involving three vehicles at around 8.30am today.
The road was closed in both directions between the A1 and A67 near Bowes after the accident, which resulted in a 38-year-old man being taken to hospital with back and leg injuries.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called but on arrival it was decided it was not needed.
North Yorkshire Police said the road was re-opened at around 10.15am, with continued delays of around 30 minutes.
