POLICE are urging witnesses to come forward after two men were assaulted at a Middlesbrough nightclub in the early hours of Tuesday, December 27.
One victim was on the first floor of The Empire nightclub at around 2am when a man punched him in the face, causing him to fall backwards, knocking him unconscious. The man then fled the club through a nearby fire exit.
When a friend of the victim looked out of the fire exit to see where the assailant had gone, he was hit over the head with a glass bottle, resulting in a large cut above his eye.
Police are urging witnesses to come forward with information on these assaults and call PC Jo Hill of Middlesbrough Police on 101.
