A MAN has been handed a six-month conditional discharge after stealing from a County Durham superstore.
Shane Edward Telford, 37, of Deerness Estate, Tow Law, near Bishop Auckland, on two occasions snatched razor blades, scissors, shampoo bottles and deodorant worth more than £75.
He pleaded guilty to two charges of shop theft from Tesco Extra, in St Helen Auckland, at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court today (September 8).
Telford was ordered to pay compensation of £24 for the recovered damaged goods, £85 prosecution costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
