VICTIMS will be at the heart of Ron Hogg’s next plan for County Durham and Darlington.

Following his recent re-election, the Police, Crime and Victims’ Commissioner will present his draft plan for the area next week.

At an upcoming Police and Crime Panel, Mr Hogg will outline his aims and objectives for Durham Constabulary and other organisations tackling crime and anti-social behaviour and supporting victims.

Key themes in his plan for his second term of office are the needs of victims and issues around anti-social behaviour.

Mr Hogg said: “It is really important that the plan reflects the views of local people.

“After the panel meeting, I’ll take two months to consult residents on the aims and objectives I set out in the plan.

“I’ll be talking to as many people as possible at a lot of public meetings and there will be opportunities on my website for people to tell me what they think about it.”

The Police and Crime Panel meeting is set to take place on Tuesday, July 19.

It will also consider Mr Hogg’s recent annual report, which describes how he delivered his outcomes in 2015/16.

Details of the upcoming consultation will be available at durham-pcc.gov.uk.
