THE jury in the trial of seven teenagers accused of murder is now deliberating the charges.
Shane Tunney, 24, died a month after an incident on the High Street in Norton, near Stockton.
His friend, Anthony Kirk, 21, is said to have been assaulted by a gang at the same time.
Mr Tunney died of head injuries in hospital, the jury at Teesside Crown Court has been told.
Brandon Pitt, Kieron Harry Davis, Kearan Terry Davis and Jake Douglas, all 18, and from Stockton, two others aged 17 and one of 16, are on trial.
They deny charges of murder and attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm with intent.
The jury was sent out today (Monday) but will not sit tomorrow, and will resume its deliberations on Wednesday.
