THREE men from the North-East have appeared in court accused of conspiring to supply illegal drugs worth around £4 million.
Jack Vose, 62, of Backworth, Newcastle; Daniel Thompson, 27, of South Shields; Neil Stuart, aka Neil Acourt, 40, of Eltham, London and James Botton, 44, of Greenwich, London all appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court in south-west London.
Paul Beavers, 48, also of Backworth, Newcastle and Lee Birks, 54, of Orpington, London, appeared at a second hearing directly afterwards.
All six are charged with conspiracy to supply controlled class B drugs between January 1, 2014 and February 1, 2016 after
police seized approximately 100 kilos of cannabis, Scotland Yard said.
Chairman of the bench Jim Peters remanded all six in custody until their next appearance at Kingston Crown Court on March 2.
