A MAN was glassed in the face during a disturbance in a pub at the weekend.
Police received an anonymous tip off about a fight outside the Locomotion Number One at Heighington Station, near Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, at 11.50pm on Saturday (August 1).
The caller said there had also been trouble earlier in the night, resulting in a man being taken to hospital after being glassed in the face in the pub toilets.

When officers arrived at the scene the fight was over and they could establish very little about the incident.
Enquiries with hospitals in the area revealed a 26-year-old man had been admitted to the plastic surgery department at the University Hospital of North Durham in Durham City following an incident at the pub.
However, further information about the attack has not been forthcoming.
