Man injured in Sunderland jewellery robbery
A MAN has been injured in a robbery on a jeweller's shop in Sunderland.
"Just before 10am this morning police were informed of a robbery at a jewellers in Athenaeum Street in Sunderland city centre," said a spokesman for Northumbria Police.
"Extra officers are in the area and enquiries are being carried out to trace the offenders. It's thought one person, a man, has suffered minor injuries during the incident."
