Men burst into Gateshead house, stab man and assault woman
TWO men burst into a house in Gateshead and stabbed a man and assaulted a woman.
The incident happened on around 3.07pm on Friday afternoon in Rawlings Road.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "The man suffered stab wounds and was taken to the RVI for treatment. He is currently receiving treatment and his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
"The woman suffered minor injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the incident. Extra officers are in the area this evening to carry out house-to-house enquiries and speak to local people."
