FUNDING to help people in Hambleton make their properties more fuel efficient is being offered by a council.
Hambleton District Council has a limited number of interest-free loans available to help towards the cost of work such as installing new central heating systems, replacing windows, topping-up loft and cavity wall insulation or installing extra radiators. The work will be carried through the Swale Home Improvement Agency using approved contractors.
The interest-free loans can be re-paid in monthly instalments and homeowners can borrow between £300 and £3,000. To qualify, applicants must have a gross income of less than £25,000 per annum or be in receipt of council tax reduction or a means tested benefit.
