A SEARCH is underway for two teenage cousins who were last seen going to bed on Sunday night.

The boys, Kieran Miller, 15, and Thomas Miller, 14, live at the latter’s home on Lockyer Close in Newton Aycliffe , County Durham.

They were last seen going to bed at 11.15pm on Sunday and were reported missing by Thomas’s mother in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police said there were signs that they left the house of their own accord as part of a pre-planned arrangement between themselves and are believed to be together somewhere in the local area.

Officers do not believe anyone else is involved in the boys’ disappearance and there is no suggestion that any crimes have been committed.

Extensive enquiries are being carried out with family members, friends and associates and officers are also checking known haunts of the boys.

Inspector Simon Gdaniec, who is co-ordinating the search for the boys, said last night: “We are concerned for them because of their age and would urge them to come home as soon as possible.

“If anyone who knows them sees them, please tell police.”

Members of the public have also offered to set up search parties to help find the boys.

Many have taken to Facebook to show their support to the boys family and offer help.

Donna Urwin Horner said: “The family must be going through hell.”

Anyone with information on the boys’ whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101.
