THE mother of a woman whose remains have been found on a farm in Middlesbrough, ten years after she went missing, has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Speaking at a police press conference, Tina Wilson said: "I am asking for somebody that knows what happened just to come forward and tell us what happened to Rachel."

Her daughter, Rachel Wilson, 19, was last seen at 2.30am on May 31, 2002, when CCTV images showed her walking along Southfield Road in Middlesbrough town centre.

Her remains were discovered on the Newham Hall Farm estate near Coulby Newham, at the end of last month just over ten years after she vanished without trace.

Cleveland Police have launched a murder investigation to track down her killer.

Officers said at this afternoon's press conference that her body was found in a shallow hallow, and did not have any clothing with it.

It is not yet know how she died.
