A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a rush-hour crash between two cars this morning.
The accident happened at around 8.20am on the B6279 at Lingfield in Darlington.
Two appliances from Darlington Fire Station attended the scene, along with a specialist rescue unit from Bishop Auckland station.
The 42-year-old woman was released from her car using specialist equipment and taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital suffering from neck, back and shoulder injuries.
