A CHARITY shop is displaying royal memorabilia from the 1930s.
Age UK, in Darlington, has been given a donation including a collection of Union Flag inspired hats dating from 1935.
The hats were donated last year by a customer who felt the shop would need decorations for the royal wedding.
Thinking ahead, the charity kept the hats, which are on display in the window.
Laura Johnson, of Age UK, Darlington, said: “The lady who donated the hats felt they would fit in with the vintage and retro theme of our shop. They have given us very good publicity.”
The hats are due to go on sale after the jubilee celebrations.
