A 19-year-old male, who was driving a grey BMW 528 when it collided with a brick gas mains building in Briggs Avenue in South Bank, Middlesbrough, has died in hospital. A police spokesman said the accident happened shortly after midnight yesterday. The driver was taken to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where he has since died. The dead teenager has not been named. A Cleveland Police spokesman said, a 46-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of being the driver has now been released without charge. Anyone with information has been asked to contact the police on the non-emergency number 101.
