A MAN has died after falling down a cliff in North Yorkshire.
The man’s body was discovered at the foot of Saltwick Nab, in Whitby, this afternoon.
He had severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. The inshore lifeboat and a Seaking helicopter were scrambled to the scene and the man’s body was lifted to the top of the cliff before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious.
Officers are trying to contact the man’s next of kin, who are thought to live outside the North Yorkshire area.
