A DRIVER suffered severe injuries when his van overturned on the A19 this morning.
The accident happened near Peterlee, in County Durham around 10.45am and involved a 21-year-old from Darlington.
According to the Great North Air Ambulance, which attended the scene, the driver sustained head and shoulder injuries and was treated by the air ambulance doctor before being flown to James Cook hospital in Middlesbrough.
