POLICE believe two separate incidents in which a car was set alight and a fire started in a flat may be linked.
A Ford Fiesta was set on fire in Eddison Way, Hemlington, near Middlesbrough, at about 11.15pm on Saturday night.
Hours later, at about 3.40am on Sunday morning, a ground floor flat in nearby Elmhurst Gardens was set on fire.
Both incidents were attended by fire crews and no-one was hurt.
Police are appealing for witnesses and want anyone with relevant information to come forward.
