Great North Air Ambulance attends the scene of the accident on the A1, near Wetherby
THE emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on the A1.
The collision, which involved a dark silver Mercedes Benz, happened at 12.45pm on the southbound carriageway near Wetherby.
The car, which contained three men believed to be from the Hertfordshire area, rolled a number of times before coming to rest on the road.
All three occupants have been taken to Harrogate District Hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
The road is currently closed and is expected to remain so for some time.
