A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy is in hospital after he was knocked over in Darlington this evening.
The accident happened at about 7.05pm on West Auckland Road in the Cockerton area.
It is understood the boy, who was with his mother, was struck by a car as he ran into the road.
He was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital for treatment and to undergo tests.
The extent of his injuries are not known, but are not thought to be life-threatening.
