Philmore’s nightclub reunions are re-creations of its former days which have been running once a year. But due to its enormous success could very well become more regular.

DJ and promoter of the original popular nightclub, Jason Bushby, decided to start organising the reunions celebrating the club’s bygone years after a huge response on his Facebook group, ‘Philmores Big Beat Appreciation Club’ which to date has over 1000 members.

The first event sold out after only 10 days and the BIG BEAT was re-created back to what was one of the biggest nightclubs in the Northeast and at its original venue.

Speaking of his first reunion, Jason said: “It was like going back 20 years. It was all the old music and since then I’ve done a couple more.

“I do them once a year, the last one being May last year. Every single one has sold out within a week. This one is Easter Sunday."

"I’ve been in touch with a satellite TV which I’m trying to arrange at the moment. It’ something that a lot of people look forward to."

Speaking of the original revellers of Philmores, Jason added: “They don’t go out anymore, they don’t go nightclubbing every week.

"They’ve got families now. It’s all people in their late 30s, but this brings them out their house and they come out once a year just to have a night out.

“I started working as a DJ when I was 18. My dad, Norman Bushby was head doorman there. And it got so successful, it just catapulted me all over with people wanting me to work everywhere because it was so successful.”
