VALERIE HOLDSWORTH is trying to find out what the initials on her grandfathers collar mean, as seen in this photograph.
He is Edward Hornby, who was born in Yorkshire in 1846 and lived in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, from 1871 to 1901, as a railway gateman and platelayer. He moved to Stockton, where he died on April 6, 1920.
If anyone can help, contact her at 18 Martingale, Benfleet, Essex SS7 3DP or on 01702-559246.
